About

I’ve been working with PHP and MySQL for nearly five years.

I’ve learnt a lot, but I suspect I’ve forgotten almost as much.

With that in mind, the aim of this blog is two fold:

  1. To keep a reasonably permanent record of my experiences with PHP, MySQL, Zend Framework and my work as a web developer.
  2. To allow others to learn from that experience.

The plan is to blog on issues that I’ve found it difficult to find information on elsewhere. PHP is still fairly young as a so-called “enterprise level” language and, at times, it’s difficult to find any kind of how-tos on some of the more complex issues that I’ve faced.

Anyway, I hope that you find something of use here. There’s a good chance that I’ll get things wrong or miss the obvious, but that’s all part of the learning process and I’m looking forward to getting feedback from other developers.

If you’re interested in my services, drop me an email steve@dogfoodmedia.co.uk.

To the next level.

Steve
